Chris' SF Team Mate Pat
Chris and I worked together as instructors at Ft. Bragg. Two words
that come to mind when I think of Chris...Focus and Committed. Chris
was focused and well balanced when it came to his job and things that were
outside of his Army life. Chris was focused on being an outstanding
Special Forces Soldier. He was appreciative of those that invested
in him and wanted to impart to students experience and knowledge he had
gained through his years of service. Chris was focused on his
professional development, challenging himself as a leader and positions he
would take on after instructing. Chris was also focused on his
family. He shared with me outings he had experienced with his
family. He was focused on growing spiritually as a husband, father,
and Soldier.
Chris was committed to being the best he could be...in every aspect of the
calling he received in life. Chris committed himself to his faith
staying involved in his church and taking on challenges to share his faith
to other Soldiers. He was committed to his country, to become a
Special Forces Soldier and rising through the ranks to lead men that were
of the same mold. Chris was committed to staying fit and was often
seen in his riding gear heading out for a fun ride of numerous miles.
Chris gave his best in everything he did because of his focus and
commitment.
Chris was all that but remained humble and easy going. We would have
talks about the war on terror and the challenges ahead. We would
discuss the positions we would be taking on shortly and the responsibilities
that came with it. He was full of confidence and eagerness.
That can only be attributed to his faith and positive attitude.
Chris was well respected and deeply missed.
